The Development Steps Tab

Track the creation of your IWPs using Development Steps.

This article assumes you have the appropriate permissions for creating/editing work packages. Please confirm this with your Project Admin before reading on.


Configuring Development Steps

Note: only users with Project Admin access can configure Development Steps.

In the left-side navigation menu, go to Project Settings > Entity Settings > IWPs in the Project Settings menu.

Click on the Development Steps Type tab.

To create a new Development Step Type, click on the + icon above the grid.

  1. The Name field is required by default.

  2. The Sort Order determines where in your workflow the Development Step takes place.

  3. Enabling Auto Create means the Development Step will be automatically created whenever an IWP is initialized.

To edit a Development Step Type, double-click it in the grid.


Navigating to The Development Tab

In the left-side navigation menu, click on Work Packages > Installation (IWPs), then select an IWP from the grid.

Click on the Development tab in the Detailed Form.


Adding & Editing Development Steps

Click on the + sign above the grid and add all desired Development Step Types.

To update the development step status, click on the step in the grid > the Status field in the Development Step Details form.

The % Developed field in the IWP Grid tracks the percentage of the development steps with a status of Complete.
