Training Outline:

Introduction

  • Explain your role for the organization and O3.

  • Short explanation of what O3 is for your organization - functions and benefits.

  • State the objective for the course session: learn how to navigate the software and perform basic functions.

View all Available Dashboards

  • Encourage users not to reinvent the wheel! Show where users can access shared dashboards.

  • Show where users can access templated dashbaords.

  • Explain the views for dashboards: My Dashboards versus Shared.

  • Explain Dashboard Collections and how your organization will use these.

  • HINT: make sure the correct Project is showing. The Dashboards page looks the same for all Projects but access levels will vary.

Modify Dashboards

  • Explain that Owners of the dashboard can make edits. Anyone can clone and make an existing dashboard their own.

  • Show the header-level settings to change, such as Name and Owner.

  • Show how to add widgets: search for widgets by key word or category. Add as many widgets as you want to check them out - you can always delete them later!

  • TIP: for commonly used widgets such as query tiles, you can add the same one multiple times and change the filter for each. Ex: Add the same IWP query tile but adjust the filter to different companies and rename the widget to reflect that filtered data.

  • Show how to be an artist: move widgets, expand them, shrink them, etc.

  • Conduct overview of basic widget filters and functions.

Share Dashboards

  • Show users how to share dashbaords with Roles or specific people.

  • Show how to print a widget or full dashboard widget list in order to email or share with another user (old school).

How to Get Help

  • Show users how to start a conversation using the Intercom Icon.

  • Identify the emails or people in your organization to assist with permission upgrades and user settings.

  • Tell users to email [email protected] for technical issues.

  • Explain how the product request process works at your organization.
