“The secret of getting ahead is getting started" - Mark Twain

With over 500 widget options now available in O3, we realize that setting up a new dashboard can be overwhelming. Dashboard Templates to the rescue! In 2020.8, you can choose to use one of our templates as a starting point for your new dashboard. Simply choose the template that you want to use during the dashboard creation process.

After the new dashboard is saved, you are free to customize it and make it your own!

This release contains 5 templates:

  • Data Management

  • Installation Status

  • IWP Approval Review

  • IWP Constraint Review

  • My Actions.

Keep an eye out for more in the near future. If there are any that you would especially like to see, please reach out and let us know!

Bonus Points: O3 will now remember your position on any dashboard if you navigate away and come back!

Make Tool Time Work For You!

Need to ensure that users always enter a Discipline when recording Tool Time Observations? Project administrators can now make it so!

Visit Project Settings > Tool Time > General > Data Requirements to get started.

But wait, there's more! The Tool Time Reading and Tool Time Observation detail forms are now configurable as well. Click Edit Layout in the header to begin customizing.

Bonus Points: Data requirements and custom layout configurations on the web (server) application will also be applied in the O3Go mobile application.

Stop Deactivating Me!

If you're a system administrator, you probably know that O3 has a function to periodically deactivate any user accounts that haven't logged in for a while. Or, perhaps your account is the one that has been deactivated (how embarrassing).

Beginning this release, select accounts can be flagged to Keep Active, making them immune to the auto-deactivation process.

For those accounts that have been reactivated, the reactivation date will now also be considered in the auto-deactivation process, giving those users a little more time to log in and come back to the fold.

Who's Fact Checking these Links?

Tired of broken or inaccurate External Links on your Work Packages? We've added the ability to mark those as verified - and we'll also automatically record the who and when.

In order to add these new fields to your Work Package detail forms, see our article on layout configuration.

What Else is New?

  • Training users can view all of their Course Enrollments by navigating to the Training > Enrollment grid. Training administrators are able to view Course Enrollments for all users.

  • We added the Approved for Construction category to the Planned Versus Actual IWPs by Status chart.
