"It's the D, Double-U, P."
We've still got love for the work packages. O3 has added a new work package type for Engineers, Design Work Package. This new work package will allow you to group and track the progress of documents and drawings. They can be associated to both EWPs and CWPs and will inherit fields such as discipline, unit, and area from the associated work package. Find them under the Work Packaging section of O3.
"Forgot about VWP."
Now a days, everyone wants to act like they forgot about VWPs. O3 has something to say about that. You can now add Scope to Vendor Work Packages. Similar to the new Design Work Packages, the Scope section will allow you to group and track vendor data and documents. While viewing a VWP > Scope Packaging, use the + to add existing vendor data and documents.
"Ain't Nothing but a Vendor Data Thing."
Adding Scope isn't the only thing O3 is doing to improve Vendor Work Packages. Now, Vendor Data can be used to show the percent complete when added to the scope of a Vendor Work Package. This will be based on the status of the Vendor Data. The weight of each status will need to be configured by your administrator.
Can we get another Free Basket of Bread?
Imagine working at the Ruby Tuesdays and hearing that for the thousandth time in a day, and you know how the O3 development team felt when we asked them to download yet another drop down list. That's why Lookups now have the option of being downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet by your administrator. Simply navigate to any lookup at any level and click the download arrow. Or, use the icon right next to it to copy the list to your clip board and paste it where you'd like.
More Bread? We Will Throw in a Side of Sauce.
The O3 development team never stops a the minimum. That's why there is a quick add feature on Lookups to go with downloading. Just click the upload arrow on the same screen. In the new window, enter one item per line to add to the current Lookup. Note: this feature is only available if the Lookup is editable.
"May I Have Your Attention Please?"
Will the real operational requirement please be added to the IWP? O3 has got the real IWPs because now there is a new field available on IWPs named Operational Requirements. The new field will accept multiple entries selected from a drop down list. This list is a Lookup configured by your administrator.
"What's the Difference Between Me and You?"
Safety Observations can now be recorded anonymously. The Safety Observation form is now configurable, so the Observed By field can be removed which means no one will know who created the observation. Well, you won't, but myself and any other administrator with access can still check to see who and when the observation was created.
What's the Weather look like? Hot Tamale!
Here is some more great forecasts for you: Now Documents will have a Forecast Start and Forecast Finish date. These will need to be added to the document form by your administrator to be visible on specific documents, but anyone can add them to the documents grid using the column chooser.
Time for Another Weather Joke:
Sorry, I am only allowed one of those gems per release notes (thanks a lot HR). Fortunately, there's no holding back the development team because they didn't stop with Documents. Vendor Data now has Forecast Start and Forecast Finish dates as well, but that is all, is what I would be saying if this was your local Ruby Tuesdays. Since its O3, we also have a new field Vendor Document Category added to Vendor Data! This field is a drop down list that is configured by your administrator.
