While O3 supports constraint management for multiple different entities, this article uses IWPs as an example.

Constraints can be assigned to multiple users with the same Role or User Group, ensuring it's on multiple people's radar.

Creating Roles & User Groups

You will need Roles and User Groups created before you can assign constraints to them.

Roles are created at the Plant and System level, while User Groups are created at the System level. Check out our Admin Collection to learn more.

Assigning Constraints to Multiple Users

Constraints can be assigned to Roles or User Groups in a couple different areas:

  1. Auto-created constraints - learn more about these here!

  2. Existing constraints

Auto-Created Constraints

In the Auto-Created Constraint Item Details menu, make sure the Assigned to Role or Assigned to User Group fields are added.

Then select an option as needed!

Existing Constraints

These fields can be set on existing constraints as well!

You can see existing constraints in a couple different places:

  1. Open Constraints Report. Click here to learn more!

  2. Constraints tab of the IWP Detailed Form.

Click on the pencil icon so you can edit the constraint.
