Keep track of time lost on your work package's execution using Delays.
While O3 supports Delays for multiple different work package types, this article uses IWPs as an example.
This article assumes you have the appropriate permissions for creating/editing work packages. Please confirm this with your Project Admin before reading on.
Configuring Delay Types
Note: only users with Project Admin access can configure Delay Types.
In the left-side navigation menu, go to Project Settings > Entity Settings > IWPs in the Project Settings menu.
Click on the Delay Types tab, then click on the + sign above the grid.
The Stages field allows you to group Delays together.
The Delay Code and Name fields are required.
The Editor Role field lets you restrict editing to users with a specific role.
Navigating to Delays
Click on Work Packages > Installation (IWPs) in the left-side navigation menu, then double-click an IWP in the grid.
In the Detailed Form, click on the Execution tab, then the Delays tab on the left side.
Creating & Updating Delays
Click on the + icon above the list and select all the Delay Types that apply.
Click on the pencil icon next to a Delay to edit it.
You can track your Delays, along with your other actions, using Team Boards.
These 4 options represent the different statuses available for Delays. Resolve will close the Delay and prompt you for Resolution Notes.
