Track the progress of your IWP in the field using Execution Tasks.

O3 only supports Execution Tasks for certain work package types. This article uses IWPs as an example.

This article assumes you have the appropriate permissions for creating/editing work packages. Please confirm this with your Project Admin before reading on.

Configuring Execution Task Types

Note: only users with Project Admin access can configure Execution Task Types.

In the left-side navigation menu, go to Project Settings > Entity Settings > IWPs in the Project Settings menu.

Select the Execution Task Types tab, then click on the + icon above the grid.

Click here to learn more about configuring Execution Tasks Types.

Navigating to the Execution Tab

In the left-side navigation menu, click on Work Packages > Installation (IWPs), then select an IWP from the grid.

Click on the Execution tab in the Detail Form and make sure Execution Task List is select on the left side.

Creating Execution Tasks

Click on the + sign above the grid.

Clicking Create with Create Another enabled will create the Execution Task and automatically clear the form.

Note: once you create an Execution Task, you can no longer edit its Execution Task Type or Unit of Measurement.

Progress Execution Tasks

Users are able to progress Execution Tasks one of two ways:

  1. By double-clicking on the Execution Task in Execution Task List

  2. By marking the checkboxes in Execution Task Workflow

Execution Task List

Double-click on the Execution Task you want to progress and mark the checkbox for each task that's been completed.

Execution Task Workflow

Select the Execution Task Workflow tab. Each line represents one of the Execution Tasks you created.

Mark the checkbox for each task that's been completed, then click Save Changes above the list.
