While this article applies to multiple Entity Types, we will use Installation Work Packages as an example.

Note: uploading report templates requires project admin access.

Uploading a Report Template

To upload a Report Template, go to Project Settings > Report Templates.

All your existing Report Templates can be found in the grid.

To create a new one, click on the + sign.

  1. Report Type - the type of report you're uploading; the options in the dropdown are what is supported in O3

  2. Name - the name of the report template; this is what users will see in the Action Menu

  3. Lock PDF Exports - flag letting you choose whether or not PDF exports are locked for editing

  4. Is Default - if this flag is toggled on and version management is enabled for the Entity, then this Report Template will be used to generate the revision attachment

  5. Template File - the file you're uploading

We recommend reaching out to your dedicated Project Manager or our support team if you're interested in setting this up.

Navigation

In the left-side menu, go to Work Packaging > Installation (IWPs).

Then choose an IWP in the grid.

Downloading a Work Package Report

In the IWP's Detailed Form, click on the Action Menu in the top-right and look for the option to download the IWP.

You can learn more about the Action Menu here.

Note: while mine says IWP Standard Template, yours will probably say something else.

  1. Export as PDF - flag that lets you choose whether it is exported as a PDF or a Word doc

  2. Delivery Method - the method used to deliver the work package; you can download it to your machine, email it to yourself, or send it to stakeholders with or without an O3 account

  3. Include Attachments - section letting you choose which Attachments are included in the report; Attachments can only be downloaded if the report is exported as a PDF. You can check the box next to Filename to select all Attachments, or select them individually.

Note: you might see other sections, like Bill of Materials or Operations Requirements, based on the formatting in your report's template.
