Building Work Packages from the Model

Select components in the model and add them to a work package.

While this article applies to other work package types, we will use Installation Work Packages as an example.


Navigation

Expand the left-side menu and click on Project Information > Models.

Then find your model in the grid.

Selecting Components

You can select individual components by left-clicking them.

Selected components will be highlighted light-blue.

You can select multiple components by SHIFT + clicking.

Or pressing and holding CTRL and dragging the polygon over the desired components.

You deselect individual components by SHIFT + clicking them again.

You can deselect all components by pressing the ESC key.

Adding Components to New Work Packages

Click on Association Type above the model and choose IWP.

The Association Type determines what type of work package you're creating.

Then click on the + at the top.

To create a new work package, click on Create New.

Then fill out the work package's input form.

You can also create new IWPs by setting the Association Type to CWP, then right-clicking a CWP in the Model Browser and choosing Create IWP with Selected Components.

Adding Components to Existing Work Packages

Make sure the Association Type is set to IWP then click on the +.

Then choose an IWP in the grid.

You can also add components to existing work packages by choosing the Package tab in the Details pane.

And clicking Choose IWP or selecting an IWP in the Model Browser.

Lastly, click Add Selected Components to Package.

Capturing Model Shots

In the Associations tab, click on the camera icon next to your work package.

Then click on the work package's number. This will bring you to its Detailed Form.

You can find the uploaded Model Shot at the bottom of the Summary tab.
