Sweet Support Switch-over!

We upgraded our knowledge base platform so users can better search for solutions. Just click the HELP icon in the bottom left corner of O3 to browse the new and improved library with updated articles and fresh options such as Quick Reference Guides (sample below).

You can navigate this new knowledge base by typing topics in the Search bar, or by clicking Collections to see groupings of articles.

Don't see what you want? That's OK, we can write it up: [email protected]

Your Admin Ain't My Admin!

In order to support the differing needs of Plant Administrators across different Plants, we expanded our Plant User permissions model to enable more granular control. Now you can modify Plant User permissions as follows:

  • Project Data Access - Previously, Plant Admin users were automatically granted access to all Project data. Now, Plant Users may be separately granted Project data access as a Project Administrator, or at a role level. Project data access granted at the Plant User level will apply to all Projects for that Plant.

  • Plant Admin Permissions - Grant individual administrative permissions so your Plant Admin's authority matches your policies / procedures. The 'Plant Admin' checkbox is a convenience function that grants all permissions without requiring you to check each box.

Note: Plant Admins cannot GIVE permissions to other Plant Admins that they do not have themselves. That would be awkward.

Bonus Points: Plant Admins can now be granted the ability to edit System Lookups.

Get your Team On Boarded. (See what I did there?)

We pumped up the volume on Team Boards capabilities, so now you do not have an excuse - try it out! New features include:

  • Default Team Board - Tasks will live on a default board (one per Project) until you create new ones.

  • Team Board Dashboard Widgets - 7 basic options available from the Add Widget function.

  • Team Boards Column Import - Ability to import Team Boards associations for Tasks. Simply use the column header "Team Board" and import away (one per line).

  • Task Bulk Edit - Added the ability to add multiple issues to a Team Board simultaneously via bulk edit in the Tasks view, or the Team Board Grid View.

Deliverables 2.0 - The Sequel

We are re-introducing Deliverables on our Work Packages. Deliverables are used to represent "expected documents or files" related to the WPs.

  • Deliverable Types can be configured in Project Settings > Lookups.

  • We brought back the Deliverables Tab on the Work Package detail forms (guess you guys missed it - removing it before must have been TABoo). From here, create or update your Deliverable requirements and assign them to the appropriate parties for completion.

  • Once the documents (or files) are supplied, you can add them as Attachments and Complete the associated Deliverables.

  • As Deliverables are completed, '% Documented' is progressed on the associated Work Package.

Automatic Assistance is Awesome!

Work Package status transitions can now be automated in order to help transition WPs better, faster, and with the correct criteria. For example, let's say you want to configure an automatic transition from "Ready for Review" to "Approved" once an IWP is 100% Approved.

  • Navigate to Project Settings > Entity Settings > IWPs > Statuses

  • Edit the Target Status to configure the appropriate Pre-Conditions. In our example, you would configure the "Approved" status' Pre-conditions to require "100% Approved"

  • Edit the Source Status to configure the appropriate Allowed Transitions. In our example, you would configure the "Ready for Review" status with an Allowed Transition to "Approved", and you would mark that transition as "Automatic".

Note: You can only configure one Automatic status transition per Status.
