I've Got The Manpower
This week it's all about manpower!
Earned & Estimated Hours
Manpower Schedule Items now track Estimated and Earned Hours for all applicable work packages.
You can now add a Work Package Hours Data Source to your Manpower Schedule to track information from your Work Packages alongside staffing information to better support your reporting.
Estimated Hours for all relevant work packages are pulled in and applied evenly over the duration of each time period.
Estimated Hours are averaged over a work package's duration, and are totaled for any overlapping period in each Manpower Schedule Item.
Earned Hours are pulled in each time an Execution Task on an applicable work package is progressed and applied directly to the time period the increment took place in.
Changes to a Work Package's Earned Hours are logged with a timestamp each time they occur, and will be included in the Earned Hours for a Manpower Schedule item whenever the Package is included and the change falls within the date range for the item.
Just be sure to hit the refresh button to see your changes reflected!
Filter Your Manpower
Note that in order to track Estimated and Earned hours, you must first configure the work package hours data source.
Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner > Configure Work Package Hours Data Source.
This also allows you to filter manpower schedule info by work package type and field.
Manpower S-Curves
O3 now supports s-curves for manpower data as well!
In your favorite dashboard, add the Manpower Curve widget.
The "Show Planned", "Show Actual", "Show Earned", and "Show Estimated" options control the visibility of the bar chart for each hours type.
The "Show Cumulative" settings control the visibility of the cumulative line charts for each hours type.
Planned and Actual are manual inputs on the manpower schedule.
Earned and Estimated come from the Work Package Hours Data Source for the Manpower Schedule.
On The Horizon
Our next release will include progress curves for all entities in O3. Stay tuned!
