You might notice we jump back and forth between the terms "tasks" and "actions" in our training and support material.
But these are not the same thing!
Actions
Actions is a blanket term for all the following items you can manage in O3:
Tasks - action items identified in meetings, completed outside of them
Constraints - items that affect the delivery of a work package, document, or drawing
Approvals - reviews to be completed before an entity can transition to the next status
Deliverables - items to be delivered at various stages of a project, are not subject to a formal approval process
Execution Tasks - track the progress of a work package
In short, all tasks are actions, but not all actions are tasks.
