Spend less time manipulating data in Excel and use O3 to map your source data.

In the Data Deliverables Details form, click on the three dots in the top-right corner > Configure Field Mappings.

In the field mappings menu, click on Add Item to add a mapping.

Click on the dropdown to select the field in O3 the source data is being mapped to.

Note: the fields available are based on the Import Type you chose when creating the Data Deliverable.

To map the source data to this field, click on the + sign.

Then choose the Value Builder Rule you want to use. You can learn more about these here.

You can click on the Upload Sample File button to upload a sample source file.

When using the Append or Read Dynamic Values rule, you can use the Source Fields dropdown to choose which field is being mapped.

Note: the source file is not preserved once you're done configuring your field mappings.

You can collapse and expand your Value Builder Rules by clicking on Toggle Expansion.

Note: once you configure field mappings, all column headers in your import file must be mapped to those in O3.

In this example, we're going to map the column headers for Areas in our import file to those in O3. We'll be using the import file below.

Name is the UID for Areas in O3. In our import file, this would be Name of Area. These don't line up, so we're going to need to map the headers to each other.

Go to Configure Field Mappings and add the Name field.

Then click on the + sign and choose the Append Dynamic Value rule.

For Source Value Key enter Name of Area. This is how we're mapping the two headers. We only want this to run if there's a value there, so we enable Continue If Not Blank.

We could even combine two fields in our import file and map them to Name in O3. In the image below, we append the static value - and the Area Number, another dynamic value.

You can import and export field mappings in the field mappings menu.
