Creating Plot Plans in O3

Learn how to create a new Plot Plan and upload its background image.

The following permissions are needed to follow along in this article. If you notice you're lacking permissions, please reach out to your project's admin.

Navigation

New Navigation

(1) Expand the left-side menu and click on (2) Early Planning > (3) Path of Construction.

Classic Navigation

(1) Expand the left-side menu and click on (2) Project Information > (3) Plot Plans.

Either of the above navigations will bring you to the Plot Plans grid.

Creating a New Plot Plan

Creating a Plot Plan is simple. Just click on the + above the grid.

Then provide a Name and a simple Description.

Uploading Your Background Image

Once you've created your Plot Plan, it's time to upload a background image.

You have the following options for uploading your background image:

Upload Image/PDF

Choose an image (.JPEG or .PNG) or .PDF file from your file browser.

Link Document or Drawing

Link an existing Document or Drawing in O3. This will use the Document's or Drawing's attachment as the background image.

Now that you've created your Plot Plan and uploaded your background image, it's time to start drawing shapes and linking them to Entities.
