Team Board Basics

Team Boards offers visibility into the planning process. There are multiple ways to organize and view tasks. You can easily add new tasks or add existing tasks to the view that helps you work best. You can also sort and filter your view so that you only see what you need.

Views

Once a board has been created, users have the opportunity to select the view that works best for their daily workflow.

To change between views, use the View icon on the Menu bar.

List View

The list view shows tasks in a list format on the screen. For more information on list view, click here.

Card View

The card view shows tasks as cards that appear in the column that corresponds with the task's current status. For more information on card view, click here.

Grid View

The grid view shows tasks within a grid with rows and columns. These columns can be adjusted to display different data. For more information on grid view, click here.

Calendar View

The calendar view shows tasks layed out on a calendar based on the dates entered into the task's details. For more information on calendar view, click here.

Gantt View

The Gantt view shows tasks as they relate to one another throughout time. For more information on Gantt view, click here.

Filters

In each of the views, users can filter the data down to only see particular tasks.

Users

The Users filter allows users to filter for tasks that only relate to his or her username. The default option is All Users.

To use the filter, select the User icon.

The choices for the Users filter are:

  • All - tasks assigned to all users

  • Assigned to Me - tasks assigned to your username

  • Assigned by Me - tasks assigned by you to other users

  • Created by Me - tasks created by you, regardless of assigned user

Select the desired option to activate the filter.

Status

The Status filter allows users to filter for tasks that are in a particular status. This relates to open versus completed tasks. The default option is Any Status.

To use the filter, select the Status icon.

The choices for the Status filter are:

Any Status - all tasks, regardless of status

Open Tasks

  • All Open Tasks - all tasks in a status of "open"

  • Due Soon - all tasks in a status of "open" that are due within the next two weeks

  • Hide Open Tasks - hide all tasks in a status of "open"

Complete Tasks

  • All Complete Tasks - all tasks in a status of "complete"

  • Recently Completed - all tasks that have been changed to a status of "complete" within the past two weeks

  • Hide Complete Tasks - hide all tasks in a status of "complete.

Select the desired option to activate the filter.

Icons

There are additional options available for further customizing your board.

Refresh

The Refresh icon refreshes the screen to ensure that you are viewing the most up-to-date data.

Filter

The Filter icon activates the Filter Builder which allows you to create custom filter options.

Board Settings

The Board Settings icon allows you to view/edit the settings for this team board. For more information about these settings, click here.

Add

Action Menu

The Action Menu icon houses the additional actions that you can take within the current view. It is only available on the grid view and Gantt view screens. For more information on the Action Menu on the grid view, click here. For more information on the Action Menu on the Gantt view, click here.

Sort

The Sort icon allows you to sort the data that you are currently viewing. The sort option is only available on the list view and card view screens. For more information on the sort feature on the list view, click here. For more information on the sort feature on the card view, click here.
