Plant Admin Cheat Sheet

A quick reference guide for Plant Admins. This is also useful when preparing for your Plant Admin Certification

Accessing Your Plant's Settings

Expand the left-side menu and click on the gear on the left.

Then choose your Plant in the grid.

Project Management

Adding Projects

Make sure Projects is selected and then click on the +.

The Name and Project Code fields are required.

You can create a project from scratch, or use a Project Template with preset configurations.

Creating Project Templates

Click Project Templates in the Plant Admin Menu.

To create a new template, click on the + at the top.

Copy Existing Project/Template is the project whose settings you're going to templatize.

If you want to make make any last-minute adjustments to the configurations, click Configure.

This is going to take you to the Project Settings menu. Note that your template has already been created if you went this route.

Otherwise, click Save.

Adding Users to Projects

Select your project in the Projects grid.

Then select the Users tab and click on the +.

Creating Project Teams

Select a project in the Projects grid.

Then choose the Teams tab and click on the +.

Units

Adding & Editing Units

Select the Units tab and click on the +.

The Name and Code fields are required.

Assets let you restrict Units to specific projects, even though they're a Plant-level field. You'll learn how to create these in the next section.

Select a Unit in the grid to edit it.

Assets

Assets can be used to restrict Units to certain projects. You'll create an Asset via the Assets tab.

And then assign the Asset to a project.

To restrict Units to certain projects, assign the Unit the same Asset.

User Management

Plant Users

Plant Users are added via Plant Details > Users.

Plant Uses can have access to all projects in the plant and/or be able to edit Plant-level settings.

Click on the + above the grid to create a new user.

Or select a user in the grid to edit their access.

Click on the Delete icon to remove a user from a Plant.

Roles & Permissions

Double-click on a user in the Users grid.

You can check the Project Admin box to give them admin access to all projects in the plant.

Or you can give them restricted access with Plant Project Roles.

Plant Admin Permissions lets you determine the extent they can edit Plant-level settings.

Checking the Plant Admin box gives them all permissions. Otherwise, you can mark each box as needed.

Note that if you're giving a user Create access to something, they will also need View by default.
