Make Sure You're Running the Latest Version of O3

Nicely Aligned

Last release, we debuted the Gantt section for CWAs.

We've made improvements over the past couple weeks, including

  • Grouping IWPs under their CWP, even if another CWP's Start Date falls in between their dates.

  • Sorting the Gantt Chart Key by Entity Type and Sort Order.

Enhanced TWPs

TWPs continue to feel the love. We've added the Execution Task Progress and Planning tabs to TWPs.

In addition, when creating an IWP from a TWP, the TWP's drawings, components, and materials carry over to the new work package.

O3 Approved

O3 now supports approvals for drawings.

Through 4D Glasses

O3 includes a couple new Display Modes for 4D visualization

Incremental Progress

Shows the % Complete spread evenly over the duration of the CWP.

The Visualization tab under the Details pane shows the key for CWP completion.

Work Package Lifecycle

Shows the expected date (Planned Start Date) the CWP will move into the given status.

The Visualization tab under the Details pane shows the key for the different CWP status states.

Plot Plan Enhancements

We've made the following improvements to plot plans in O3:

Stay for the View

You can now switch between the Plan View, Configuration View, and Timeline View in the top-right.

The Right Side of the Menu

Plot plans now include a right-side menu for Properties and Layers.

Shape It How You Want It

You can now enter shapes wherever you click in the plot plan.

PDFs Allowed

Your plot plans can now be uploaded as PDFs.

Import Enhancements

We've made the following enhancements to the Imports list in O3:

It Took How Long?

With the Duration (Minutes) field, you can see how long your imports took.

Follow the Breadcrumbs

Each import's Details page includes a breadcrumb that takes you back to the grid.

If You Fail Once, Try & Try Again

Especially when importing data. You can rerun an import by clicking on the action menu icon and choosing Rerun Import.

E.g., you just imported a bunch of work packages, then made tons of changes to your auto created constraints. Rerun the import so the constraints are created!

Want to hide all your failed imports? System admins can remove them from the Imports grid by selecting the import and then choosing Delete up top.

You can easily pinpoint your imports based on status, as they are now color-coded.

We're Going to Need a Smaller File

Just kidding, O3 can handle whatever you got, along with showing you how large the file is with the File Size header. You can see how many rows were included in the file with Row Count.

We Can't Read Minds

But we can read your import's filename and use it to determine the Import Type.

In the import above, O3 could tell from the filename we were making a Work Package Execution Task Types import.

This may not work based on your file naming conventions. You can always uncheck the box and go about your import as normal.

No Bug is Safe

And now you can know the date, hour and minute an import error was thrown with the Date Created field.
